Arnold Yellow Tulip Poplar is a smaller fast-growing deciduous tree with narrow upright branches. The large rich green leaves have a distinct shape and turn golden yellow in fall. Unusual yellow-green cup shaded tulip-like flowers with with orange center bands bloom in late spring through summer. Despite the size of the flowers, they may go unnoticed until the petals start to fall as they grow at the top of the tree. Following the flowers are soft brown wing-like seedpods. Best color in full sun and moist well-drained soil.
Also sold as Liriodendron tulipifera 'Fastigiata'.
