Sky Climber Southern Live Oak is a large, long-lived native semi-evergreen tree with a strong central leader and upward branching forming a dense rounded crown. The small narrow dark green foliage with light undersides is nearly evergreen with no fall color. Acorns with a scale a cap that covers 1/3 of the acorn are ripe within one season. Best grown in full sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils. Spanish Moss often grows on Live Oak. Sky Climber is salt tolerant, and resistant to gall insect and verticillium.
