Hayven Zelkova is a fast-growing deciduous tree with upward branches forming an oval crown and bark that exfoliates when mature.  The thick dark green foliage is is lightly toothed and has a texture like sandpaper and turns russet red in fall.  Insignificant green flowers in spring give way to non-showy fruits in fall.  Best color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established and tolerates urban pollution.
