Winter's Snowman Camellia is a large columnar evergreen shrub with glossy leaves that emerge burgundy and mature to dark green. Pink flushed flower buds open to semi-double snow-white flowers that bloom mid-fall into winter. The flowers attract butterflies. Best blooms occur in partial sun and acidic, well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Too much water retention can increase susceptibility to fungal diseases, including root rot, black mold, blight, canker, anthracnose, and leaf spots. Watch for aphids and spider mites. Yellowing leaves indicate acidity too low.
