The Summer Red® Red Maple, also known as Acer rubrum 'HOSR', is a delightful tree that offers year-round interest. This tree is known for its unique color changes throughout the seasons. In the spring, the leaves emerge with a red color, then transition to a dark green in the summer, and finally turn to a vibrant red in the fall.

This variety of Red Maple typically grows to a height of 35-40 feet with a spread of around 20-25 feet at maturity. It has a moderate growth rate and prefers full sun to partial shade. The Summer Red® Red Maple is adaptable to a variety of soil conditions but thrives best in slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils.

Like most maples, it's important to water this tree regularly, especially during dry periods. Pruning is best done in late summer or early fall to prevent sap bleed.
