Brandywine Red Maple is a cold hardy deciduous tree that is a male selection noted for its large 3-5 lobed leaves with blue grey undersides and it's more intense and consistent red fall color.  Inconspicuous spring flowers.  Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Brandywine has significant resistance to potato leafhopper.
